Joella's Camp Experience
I first attended COTW in 2017 when I was 10. I loved it there, the people and environment is incredibly friendly and decided I wanted to go as much as I could. I ended up going every year except 2021 and 2024.
I remember that I had been asking people how old I had to be to staff from year 2. I wanted to be able to help out the people that did so much for me throughout the years.
In 2023, I was old enough to staff so I signed up for a week, which turned into 4. Initially I was against being in a cabin because I didn’t think it was something I’d be good at but after my first week I decided to try it out and I loved it. My experience was amazing and I decided to go back in 2024. I was in a cabin again and loving it.
Camp of the Woods is a wonderful environment and being there as both camper and staff I have learned so much and been able to grow in my relationship with Jesus more than I thought I could. COTW is a great place to make friends and learn more about God. I would recommend it to everyone!
